Reunion 4/6/11
En la reunion del sábado pasado, tratamos los temas principales de la empresa y el premontaje. Por unlado concretamos todo lo referido a la empresa: Enviamos una carta a scouts Valladolid para la publicidad de la página, Preparamos carteles para la Iglesia de Cristo redentor y la peli, decidimos lo de las sudaderas y fijamos una celebracion para el día 19 de Junio. Lo del cine sera el domingo 12, hemos quedado a las 16h00 asi que no faltéis. Por otra parte está el encunetro de pioneros de Valladolid que será el día 25 y 26, tenéis que confirmar asistencia. Por último revision de material para campamento en princiipo los sábaos 2 y 9 de Julio y por úñtimo el premontaje será los días 30 y 31 de Julio.

Picos de europa - ingles
Hi everybody! We're going to introduce you our region, Castilla y León. What
can we say about it? It's a place located in the North-West of our country,
Spain. Castilla y León is divided in 9 provinces: León, Zamora, Salamanca,
Burgos, Soria, Segovia, Ávila, Palencia, and ours, Valladolid. It has a lot of
interesting places and beautiful monuments, but we have decided to talk
about "Picos de Europa", one of the Spanish National Parks.
Picos de Europa is located between Asturias, León and Cantabria. As you can
see in the pictures (aquí se muestran una serie de imágenes), it's a limestone
mountain system. It's large, about 20 square km (64600 hectares). It's the
second National Park most visitated in Spain. It has heights above 2500 m. The
northernmost point is situated 15km away from the Atlantic Ocean (in Spain
know as "Mar Cantábrico"). Picos de Europa has three massifs, the Occidental,
known as Cornión (so called because of it's horn-shape). In the Central massif,
known as Urrieles, we can find the highest top, called "Torre de Cerredo". It is
2648m high. And to finish, we have the Oriental massif, called Ándara. There
it is situated the second highest mountain, "Morra de Lechugales". The origin
of the name is based on an ancestral legend, which says that Picos de Europa
was the first landform that sailors saw when they came from Northern Europe.

Before: LLávaves de la Reina. It was a natural habit for bear’s migration. It’s an area which occupe? It’s a natural landscape
After: They want to build a ski resort. Another problem could be that they’re going to build more hotels which could destroy this beautiful landscape. This project is going to reduce the natural habitats of many species. It could create tourism in the village.

-Natural resource’s exploitation of the region, not only with the ski slope, increasing leisure times with “Mountains Resort”, but rural and active tourism (trekking…)
-It’s projected over 400 new direct jobs and 2000 indirect ones.
-It will generate great benefits thanks to its big capacity.

-Erosion of the landscape with vegetable species’ disappearance, which hold down the ground.
